The songs will be played in the order listed below. There are some students who have been playing with the ensemble since its beginning days and who have really come a long way in their playing over the years. We are going to feature them in little solo spots throughout the concert. If you would like to have a solo also please let me know. If there are enough people asking we can have another concert later in the day for just people playing solos. Please send me an email with the recording of your piece and which day you would like to come. If you are one of my students you don’t need to do this because I know how you play and where to place you.
All the songs have suggested fingerings, but change them if you wish to for yourself. They also have chords written above them, with the exception of Walk in Belfast. You can use these chord symbols (the letters) in any way you would like to for the left hand. From single notes to chords and arpeggios. You can play either the left hand or the right hand, or both, whatever is comfortable for you.
I have marked the “form” of the pieces on some of the pieces to help you see where the music is repeated. There is an A section and a B section to most of the pieces. In ‘Harry’ I have marked the sections with an extra penciled in bar line. Each section is played twice, sometimes with slight variations.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me!
